Biography
My name is Isabel Jaime and I’m a trumpet player based out of Long Island New York. Im twenty-four years old and just graduated with a Masters Degree from New Jersey City University. My father is a professional trumpet player from Puerto Rico who has played with artists like “Eddie Palmieri” , “Tito Puente”, “Celia Cruz” and many more. He is the inspiration for my trumpet playing today. Growing up in a house with a studio, I would sit near the staircase and always listen to the work my dad was working on as an engineer and arranger. At a young age, I was given the opportunity to play an instrument in elementary school and I knew right away I wanted to be a trumpet player. After high school, I joined the United States Army band and started college at NJCU. Learning from Grammy winning teachers has helped me find my voice as a trumpet player today. While in college, I went on multiple tours with Grammy winning mariachi group “Flor de Toloache”. During these tours we played around the Virgin Islands, all around Mexico, and NYC. One of my most notable performances was in the legendary Carnegie Hall of NYC. In NYC I am also apart of the Sinfonietta Orchestra. In NYC the Sinfonietta is an all female orchestra who plays live to film movies by the music books. I had the honor to play the lead trumpet book of the Disney Pixar movie “Coco”. Recently I did a studio recording with Dylan Mulvaney, the star of the broadway show “Six” on her debut album. On May 31st 2026 I will be playing in the Jersey City Jazz Festival led by famous trumpeter “Nathan Eklund”.
